Renata is a Pharmaceutical Development Specialist who has played a pivotal role in the scientific development, regulatory approval, and commercialisation of numerous innovative medicines. She began her career in academic cardiovascular research at St Thomas’s Hospital, London, before joining Roche, where she led project teams responsible for developing several of Roche’s flagship therapies, including Tamiflu for influenza and Avastin for cancer. She was subsequently appointed Deputy Global Head of Early Development at Roche. In 2015, Renata joined Cancer Research UK, where she oversaw Project and Portfolio Management.

Renata holds multiple Non-Executive Directorships, including with Solvonis Therapeutics, serves as a board trustee for the PTEN Research Foundation and Isabel Hospice, and acts as a Scientific Advisor to various life sciences startups. She is also a lecturer in Pharmaceutical Medicine at the University of Hertfordshire.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Renata was commissioned by the UK government to lead a UKRI-sponsored pharmaceutical expert team dedicated to developing treatments for Covid-19.

Renata is deeply committed to advancing cutting-edge innovations—particularly the application of artificial intelligence—to accelerate the discovery and development of novel therapies that improve patient outcomes.
